It's not about forcing Democracy down other people's throats, which I agree isn't really a workable solution. It's more about making sure that true enemies of ours don't acquire nukes. The Iranian leadership are true enemies. The people may not be, but when the people don't have a voice in their gov't, we have to focus on the leadership's actions to determine whether they are our enemies or not.

So why can't we form a U.D.N.? We wouldn't force anyone to become Democratic and join our United Democratic Nations. But they wouldn't get a voice or vote if they were not Democratic. Sounds like a pretty simple alternative to the unworkable U.N. we have today.
