Bush proposed trimming $36 billion over five years -- and $105 billion over 10 -- from Medicare, the federal health plan for America's elderly, mostly by slowing payments to hospitals, nursing homes and similar health care providers I too would be against SLOWING payments to anyone entitled to get them. It is not the responsability of private enterprise to be THE NATIONS BANKER by making an interest free loan and they do not have the resources to do so. jdn
