Santiago, you said: "Robert, in order to reward the faithful with heaven there must be free will. No free will- no reward. That simple my friend." What you are saying is that there are no miracles performed by God on earth, and there has never been one. Otherwise it would circumvent free will. Whose rule is "free will"? Isn't it a rule created by God? Thus, God creates a rule that forces God to allow mankind to commit terrible, inhuman atrocities. God sits back and watches children being tortured and killed on a daily basis, and He doesn't see anything wrong with His "Free Will" rules? What kind of a lesson is that for humanity? It teaches humanity that God cherishes the "free will" of inhuman brutal criminals over the "free will" of little children. God allows inhuman brutal criminals to murder and maim and rape and plunder, day after day, year after year so that perpetrator and victim both have "free will"? I don't believe that a compassionate, all powerful God would play such a sadistic game with humanity. I cannot accept a compassionate, all powerful God who could easily defend the weakest among us and refuses to do anything because of the fine print at the bottom of the humanity contract. If those are the types of rules that God has on Earth, one would have to assume that God has the same types of rules for Heaven. In other words, if "free will" is so important to God, then He would also allow "free will" in heaven. Thus, the soul of a child, who was tortured, raped and murdered on earth, could suffer the same fate in Heaven, but for an eternity. You also said: "People must be free to choose." Each day in this country, four children die from abuse, and about 3 million child abuse cases are reported. In actuality, upwards to 10 millions children are abused each year in the U.S. alone. Free to choose? If that is God's rule, it doesn't seem to be working too well does it? Humanity could still have free will, even if God exercised His great powers to stop suffering, once in a while. He could stop suffering that has nothing to do with "free will". That is He could stop some suffering, if He existed. |
