Sunnis killing Shiites, and the opposite. People are afraid to leave their houses. It's really very bad. You should acknowledge that.

I agree its bad to be afraid to leave your house. But every time I see shots of Iraq there are plenty of people around. I'm not saying there is no conflict, I just don't really get the proportion of amount of conflict on the average Iraqi (there are ~22 million of them). Without being present it is tough. There are the articles you post, and then there are occasssional articles about Sunnis and Shias peacefully protesting together and signifying their unity. There are claims Iran has massive influence on Iraqi shia clerics, and then there are claims that that the average Iraqi has more of a sense of Iraqi nationalism than a Sunni-Shia split. Rumsfeld says the western media reports give moral support to the insurgents, and common sense says the insurgents don't watch English TV.
