If you're Tom Friedman it's not. He never criticizes Israel.

I believe Tom would take great umbrage to that comment...

Or more likely, he'd consider the source and recognize that you were just another one of the thousands of people he's met who have no idea what the h*ll they're talking about.

Maybe you should actually read some of his books and educate yourself on what he actually thinks about Israel.

But his point about India and the recent Bush deal with them was correct anyway.

He certainly does... But one perspective that can be pondered is that the NPT is ALREADY because spineless jellyfish like yourself seem to think that admonishment and wrist-slapping is the answer for dealing with megalomaniacs.

After all, look at the success you folks had making a "drug deal" with Kim Il Sung and N. Korea.. Given them fuel oil, offer them light water reactor technology.. and what do they do?? Exactly what they had been doing prior to sucking you into another toothless arrangement based upon the "honor system".

So maybe Bush's advisors are seeing the hand-writing on the wall that there is no way to prevent Iran from possessing nukes, so maybe we need to foster better relations with some of the other heavy hitters in the region, even if that means modifying our stance to the NPT when it suit our international interests.

India is not a country to be taken lightly... The common language makes them a potentially far more stable trading partner than China (as well as a regional rival to China).

But the bottom line is that enforcement of these treaties are not going to happen because people of your ilk are too busy fraternizing with these maniacs like Chavez and Ahmadinejad in your effort to "Bush Bash"...

And now you've all put our relations in the Persian Gulf at risk over this Dubai BS.. all for the purpose of advancing your partisan political views, rather than for the national interest in that region.

Now they are talking about limiting the number of US ships that are permitted to visit Dubai...

Way to go you liberal partisan hacks... If Dubai wasn't an enemy before, I'm sure there are a few thinking about being that way now..
