Carbon monoxide kills two
The Tribune-Democrat

An elderly man and a middle-aged woman were found dead inside a home on Linwood Avenue in the Oakland section of Stonycreek Township on Thursday, officials said.

Cambria County Coroner Dennis Kwiatkowski said both died of carbon-monoxide poisoning. Tests of the house found no traces of carbon monoxide.

The deaths are being ruled accidental.

Kwiatkowski said the two had been dead for three or four days.

The woman was found in a bedroom and the man was found in the bathroom of the home.

A dog also was found dead.

Police were called around 6 p.m. Thursday. When there was no response, police broke into the house through a basement door, Kwiatkowski said. Upon entering, police found the two victims.

The victims’ names were not released Thursday.
