Mixed? Really? Until probably the century, Christianity's main goal was to spread its influence at the end of a spear, sword, or gun. Christianity was used by evil men to increase power and subjugate peoples under the guise of 'saving' them. Whole native american empires, most notably the Incas and Aztecs, were wiped out by men flying the banner of Christianity. Christians participated in genocide and slavery in the name of Christ. Wars between competing sects of Christianity continued unabated even into the last century (e.g. Ireland). You may claim that these evil men were more interested in worldly treasure, but they were backed by the Christian church and aided by thousands of fanatics willing to die for their cause. Gee, sounds just like what's happening with the Muslim's today; guess it's their turn...
