The fear factor is almost as high now as it was in Oct 2002. Algo totally ignores fundamentals and is too busy scalping pennies and dimes to let stocks move like they have in the past. So damn the fundies and keep all the market discussions focused on the very negative slant. Forget about anything that might drive business for these companies down the road, as that can't be considered, since we must keep the slant toward the negatives.
Fear oil prices, fear terrorism, fear the Federal govt, fear interest rates, fear Algo, fear company managements, fear the negative savings levels, fear (and snitch on) your neighbor, fear the kids on the street, fear the ingredients in your food, fear bird flu, fear Iranian nukes, fear naked shorts, fear the economy's too strong, fear the economy's too weak, fear the trade deficit, fear Japan's rate hikes, fear the new FED chief,
fear, fear, fear!
Should I mention fear one more time?
Did I miss anything important, like the fear that the sun might not rise tomorrow? |
