Time to revive this thread....... This market is going nowhere...faster and faster....Two days up and then four days down for a net gain of "0" Its an idea market for covered calls because frequently the same stock can be used two or three months in a row. My current suggestions are for the following stocks as covered call positions. AMAT, TXN, CHK, GM, NT, WMB, MOT and AMD....take the strike closest to the price and do the april call. Nothing exotic here but this is ideal for a sideways market. note....I own all of the above except amd and have written covered calls against 70% of my positions. All of these stocks are in the lower portion of a trench with good prospects of a recovery. JMO...Jerome
