And I agree with you!! Also about the Zionists (neocons) having seized the ideological reins of the Republican Party. And there's also no doubt that they (the Zionists) have been assisted in this endeavor by the Evangelists.

The sad truth, both for the US and the world, is that the American Constitution is now an historical relic. Religious fundamentalism is on the ascendancy and, with it, religious divisiveness. And this religious fundamentalism is not about religion as used to exist but about two brand-new "cults" (I can't think of a better description) -- Reborn Christianity, which has a history of maybe 100 years, and Zionism, which isn't a religion at all but a facade for imperialistic theft and conquest. Liberal democracy, a situation which actually requires people to get on with one another even if they disagree, has been ditched in favor of a political system which advances this religious fundamentalism, namely neo-fascism. In fact, both main political parties seem intent on bringing about a dictatorship under the disguise of "anti-terrorist" expediency.

In my opinion, unless liberty-minded and Constitution-loving Americans start a new party to challenge the Republican-Democrat tyranny, the outlook for "ordinary" Americans is very obscure.
