Just to further muddy the sentiment on sentiment, note that over the last couple of weeks the commercials have aggressively cut long positions in the S&P, while small specs pile on: softwarenorth.net So, J6P may claim he's bearish, but he's putting his spec $ on the bull. If the trend continues and history is an indication, the market should tread water for another 4-6 weeks while the large specs get short. IMO, the bottom line is that getting short here is at best dead money for at least a month, but it is time to start looking that direction. crusty
