Reagan was a great man, but he had some thieves and liars working for him. Remember the S+L debacle? Wedtech? Iran-Contra? Also, why did he totally dismantle Carter's massive solar and clean energy programs?

Reagan definitely had flaws. He also was not all there mentally, especially during his second term. Also, like Bush but not nearly as badly as Bush, Reagan created his economic boom by using massive deficit spending.

The big differences between Reagan and Bush are than Bush is a divider not a uniter. Reagan worked with democrats and moderates, Bush refuses to. Bush doesn't care about the American People, but Reagan did. Reagan valued smart diplomacy, Bush doesn't. Reagan accepted blame for the criminal boondoggle which was Iran-Contra. Bush accepts no responsibility for any of his crimes, lies and mistakes.
Bush uses smear campaigns and election fraud to win, Reagan didn't. Bush takes the Lord's name in vain and panders to religious extremists. Reagan did not.

Also, though Reagan had SOME unethical people working for him, Bush seems to have NOTHING BUT unethical people working with him. So matters are far worse now than they were even during the darkest days of Reagan's terms. In short, Bush is no Reagan, and Reagan would not be proud of Bush if he were stil alive today. In fact he might even be against him.
