I am relatively new to stock investing. Up until fairly recently, I have relied exclusively upon fund managers. However, I wanted to try my hand at the art of picking stocks. I don't see why I have to prefer
one method over the other. Instead, I see the two methods as complementing each other. IMO, technical analysis is useful for discerning what will happen to a stock based upon what has happened in the past to a value of a stock. On the other hand, the fundamentals of a company point to what the stock price may do in the future. I recognize that this is perhaps an oversimplification. In any case, I recognize value in both your methods.
