The GOP now is not conservative but reckless and backward.
They are reckless fiscally and on foreign/military policy, and are backward on social issues, wanting to erase the past 40 years and go back to the 50's. But it's entirely unrealistic. Which is why Democrats are now accurately called progressives, and on fiscal, environmental and foreign policy matters we are the ones who want to conserve.
