Elliot,

I don't know of a public software company that hasn't lost a developer here or there. It is nothing to worry about. In fact, in the software industry, you expect it. I know for a fact that key developers (in fact, if I recall correctly, from the top down per Jay) at Altris are offered stock options. They've seen the recent performance and I'm sure are pretty pumped about it (from 5s to 8s on a nice step-ladder graph).

What is kind of funny about the post is that most competitors feel they can compete on product alone. But there's always a chance you'll find representatives of competitors that formerly worked for Altris (some people call them disgruntled former employees) try to slam their former employer by anonymously posting notes on forums like this. Its the old "boo hoo, I quit or got fired too soon and now the company is turning around" syndrome.

I prefer to get my facts from trusted associates and analysts that do this for a living; Of couse, continuous press releases by multi-billion dollar corporations like BT, etc. that do significant "due dilligence" always bring balance the picture too.
