Wrong - they protect rights, not looters.

The reason is that rights are being violated by the government - doesn't it bother you that the government is actively taking away citizens rights to self defense - it's not like law abiding citizens were out looking for looters, they simple wanted to defend themselves and their families from the "gangs" of looters and rapists the media said were on the loose.

The only camouflage is from Nagin and his bullshit about disarming citizens to protect them - we all know the government failed in spades (no pun intended) to protect the people of New Orleans.
