is not it the same as to say that over the last 2/3 of this quarter AMD was gaining market share.

BTW AMD is increasing pricing on some of their products in response to Intel. In order for intel to hit when it hurts amd (retail) intel would have to pay to OEMs to use intel's chips. In servers and high end workstations few hundred dollars would not make any difference at all.

Price war may hurt AMD somewhat but it would not be as painful if it would not be right after Intel's PR stunt with conroe.
