my father was and I couldn't find him couldn't get him out pre-katrina, so I moved him to the quarter, higher ground in a Holiday Inn Express the staff abandoned the hotel and with all the looting and lawlessness it was too dangerous there, so he walked, swam, over to the superdome for rescue I watched every news station, read every blog, watched and listened to local radio stations round the clock, the coast guard couldn't sleep hoping I would see his face some where and know he was ok I knew the city most of the news film coverage was from the very area he had been in
