Oh, no. I am so sorry but glad to learn he is okay. A friend at work told me her cousin has lost everything, still hasn't been reimbursed by insurance. It's a tragedy for this nation. Everything was bungled. It's so sad to learn that people like your dad had to go through that and swim to get to safety. One of the satellite channels had been renamed the Katrina channel for a time. So many names of missing folks. From an acquaintance in Arkansas, we learned about 5,000 had relocated there, were moving in, going to work. They know there's no "there" to go back to. Very tragic.
