BTW, a friend of mine just got a Turion based HP dv8110us (8000 series with 17" screen). For his usage, I recommended this configuration, which is on the low end of the spectrum. Anyway, I saw the notebook this weekend, and it is an amazing bargain. Staples has this in stock at some stores (not always on display) or it can be ordered online for less than $1,000. Joe
