I feel the revenue was going to disappear no matter what. Intel doesn't produce quality CPUs. The alternative is lower prices.

Even if AMD had no contributions from FAB36 this quarter I believe shifting some production away from low end Semprons and toward mobiles, servers and high-end desktops would come close to the same short term effect on Intel as adding capacity across the board.

With no AMD changes at all Intel would be pressured to cut prices. Inventories were rising and market share falling without any help from FAB36.
