Oh... Beverly, forgot to mention that detailed options in Ping are available by typing ping without a target address.

Also, that improved version of ping.exe on the MS support site works about the same but some faults are said to be cleaned up.

One might be seduced by the ease of downloading some of those other "improved" .dll items and scooting them right on into their Win95 directory. I was... to my sincere regret. Though an enforced cleanup of my hard disk to feret out a TCP/IP registry problem has had some benefits... like learning to not accept invitations to keep those "improvements" in favor of those "old" buggy Win95 Install versions.

Today ended with Win95 install #5 from the CD this time, not the E: drive. Seems what I thought was a copy of the CD's Win95 directory had been fiddled with by some other sneaky Microsoft ploy.

Microsoft products are worse than Tuesday night racoons after everyone around here puts the garbage cans out on the curb.
