McCain is a stand up guy but he is more conservative than bush and voting for him is like voting for hawk when it relates to iraq. I like hawk too.

I use to like McCain, in fact I might have voted for him in 2K if he had made the ticket, but I've soured on him now. I don't think his Iraq approach will work now, although it might have at the start. Doubling down now, just prolongs the death and destruction IMO.

McCain has been cozying up too much with religious right for my liking. The final straw was when he made some comments supporting teaching of Intelligent Design in US schools. That put him over the edge for me. The last thing the USA needs is to revert to Middle Ages wrt to science, while Asia embraces biotech like theres no tomorrow.
