"The final answer is, even though a housing crash may be initially deflationary, it will lead to massive inflation of the dollar as the government tries to save the banking system."

Yes but watch the costs of things you need on a daily basis. Bet they continue up and up. Even rent goes up this next bust.. I think that is one always worth watching especially deflation guys like Mish. It is moving up in a big way on the low to middle end in Arizona, Florida and Vegas even with all the overbuilding and expected collapse in home prices.

To me stagflation and debasement is a certainty now given the cumulative effects of the policies of the past five years and the proven ability to fund $3B daily on the monster twin deficits.. But can they keep interest rates not only in the US but other G8 countries so low by continuing the latest ponzi scheme?

Nice to see you back my friend..
