"...everyone is screaming about the big discount." You mean folks are whining about the discount instead of cashing in? Maybe they just want to cash out and not hold USGL. Big mistake, holding USGL is where the big money is going to be made. Without having looked, I assumed the CGR.v discount was smaller because McEwen owned more of it already. I think they're all sure deals. Just read the CAT.v PR and the latest 2 holes are no where as good as the previous 5 but it does show the deposit is growing. I blinked and missed my chance to double up below a canuckbuck but I'm still bidding :-) Not sure about the CA tax issues. I know I exited all my O&G CRTs when they started withholding the 15% CA tax on US IRAs. Not a healthy sign. I get my CA taxes back as a Foreign Tax Credit on my US return. I'm told depending on ones circumstances the credit may be less than 100%. I hadn't heard anything about paying the loons a tax on my cap gains, haven't done it yet.
