Russ Feingold is a very impressive man but like Howard Dean, while he may excite the leftward base in the primaries, he not only won't get the nomination, but should not. If Dean had been nominated he would have lost about 45 states. There are just not enough liberals in any of the swing states.

Outside Mass, RI, Vermont and maybe if you're lucky NY and California, these elections are won in the middle. That's why the GOP has an advantage going into national elections. The electoral system helps the conservatives.

Also, when it comes to liberal anger, remember that Nader also cost Gore the White House. One of 3-4 factors which did, including Jeb Bush cheating.
