tejek, re:They defend their members when they are caught carrying a gun illegally. The NRA does not condone breaking the law, can you point to some policy documents regarding this position? re:They pretend that the right to bear arms means that every citizen should have a closet full of weaponry. No, they don't believe everyone should have/need guns - they do believe you have the right to a closet full of them. re:They pretend they are working for the Common Good when in fact, they are working only for their membership which on average happens to be a small but affluent and influential group in this country. They simply defend the 2nd amendment regardless of whether you choose to exercise your rights or not. The members believe defending this right is worthwhile - you can thank us later. :-)
