Wanna know some real great reasons--one in particular--for impeaching both Bush and Cheney? Everyone think for a moment: What do the so-called--in quotes--"terrorists" want? Most Americans don't even know. Bush and Cheney, pretty much, have only told us that they "hate freedom," that they're "evil-doers." If you seriously think about it, that's all they've said and we're supposed to act accordingly--with military!

So what do the "terrorists" want?

Anyone know?

I'd love to see a bevy of responses to the above question and ones which are able to enlighten me? Forget 'bout 'poor me,' howz about responses that enlighten everyone--anyone got any good answers?

Now back to the first sentence of this post: Why'z there a good reason to impeach both Bush and Cheney?

First reason is it's the right thing to do. They've lied about the most important facts that can possibly exist in a civilized, rationale and tolerant society: The reason for commiting a whole nation to war. Talk about a waste of resources, both human and otherwise! I mean, seriously folks--what about this!?!

Secondly, they've clearly violated the laws of the land. Hey, that, by itself, is impeachable!

Thirdly, they've violated international laws--this also, by itself, is impeachable.

Fourthly, there needs be a comprehensive oversight investigation in many areas--not the least of which is meddling with America's election process--which possibly could develop other substantive reasons for impeachment. Witch hunt? Not quite. Beyond the elections there's how this administration had used secrecy to govern--hardly a valuable tenet in a supposedly open and free society--and this has impacted virtually every cabinet position in the admistration, whether related to health, energy, environment, interior, labor, etc.--go down the list!

Aside from the above, which is not trivial by any means, there is the matter of how America today stands in the eyes of the rest of the world. Call it reputation, if you will. As much as Bush's polls are in a nose dive, so is America's reputation.

Bush decries that not doing the port deal will hurt our economic standing in the world. Are we seriously to listen to such BS? What does waging a significant illegal war in perhaps the most sensitive area of the globe do to America's standing? I mean it's almost as if the port deal is more important in scale of consideration.

Bottom line, is with impeachment of Bush and Cheney, America will do better in the world. Much, much better. Indeed, America will score even in its efforts to thwart terrorism if it eliminates its most basic problem, leadership. If America had at the top a leadership coherent, competent and sensitive, and one that shows it's willing not only to lead but also to share in what is required to make the world a better place--the nosedive standing of America's image would instantly begin to change. Right now, with Bush and Cheney, we're absent consideration in the eyes of the rest of the world--and that should count for something.
