What we need is PATIENCE. Frankly, on outside observer would have to say Iraq has made incredible strides in relatively short time toward self government, security and all. Latest example was the reaction of the security forces after the Shiite temple bombing and the moves of the government. I am personally HOPEFUL that very soon the US and Coalition forces can withdraw and protect the borders of Iraq and Iraqi's can handle all the interior fighting and removal of the terrorists.
This would GREATLY reduce our casualties since most come from IED's now and by pull back to the borders two things at a minimum would be accomplished:
1. With no need to TRAVEL within the interior IED's would be ineffective against our forces.
2. By securing the borders no resupply of arms and forces would be available to the terrorists nor safe hideout.
