Today solemn ceremony has taken place started construction of eleventh power unit PGU-450T of thermal power station - 21 Open Societies " Mosenergo ". The power unit electric capacity 450 ?W and thermal capacity 300 Gcal. The second becomes the most powerful steam-gas power installation in Moscow.
In ceremony have taken part Chairman of Board of Russian Open Society " UES of Russia " A.B. Chubays, Mayor of Moscow JU.M.Luzhkov, the head of department of a fuel and energy facilities(economy) of the Government of Moscow V.G.Pleshivtsev, Chairman of the Commission on natural monopolies of Council of Federation M.V. Odintsov, the vice-president of committee of the State Duma on power, transport and JU.A.Lipatov's communications(connections), the general director of Open Society " Mosenergo " A.JA. ??????, representatives of Russian Open Society " UES of Russia " and Open Society " Mosenergo ".
Construction of the eleventh power unit of THERMAL POWER STATION - 21 continues realization of the Program of development and modernisation of the Moscow power supply system for 2006-2020, and also decisions of the Government of Moscow " About the basic directions of development of system electro-and heat supplies of city of Moscow for the period till 2020 ". The new power unit will develop the electric power, sufficient for illumination of 400 thousand apartments.
Realization of the Program began on December, 22, 2005 construction of third power unit PGU-450 of THERMAL POWER STATION - 27 to Mytischi. Besides within the framework of the Program construction new steam-gas power unit of THERMAL POWER STATION - 26, and also the fourth power unit of THERMAL POWER STATION - 27 is planned.
According to the Program, till 2010 capacity of power stations of Open Society " Mosenergo ", and also the power stations which are located in the Moscow region and included in structure of Open Society of Russian Open Society " UES of Russia ", will increase 2511 MW. From them 1725 MW it will be received at input of new power units.
THERMAL POWER STATION - 21 it is entered into operation on October, 22, 1963. The station provides with a heat of 3 million consumers of Northwest district, a part of the Central district of Moscow, and also Khimki. The established capacity of power station 1340 WW.
In 1995 the world's largest expander- generator complex has been established on THERMAL POWER STATION - 21, allowing to translate energy of superfluous pressure of natural gas in electric. Manufacture of the electric power in a expander- generator complex does not demand burning of gas, differs high energy-saving and ecological parameters. Application of expander- generators reduces cost of developed electric energy more than three times. The cost price of developed THERMAL POWER STATION - 21 of energy is the lowest in system of Open Society " Mosenergo ".
In 2003 of THERMAL POWER STATION - 21 it is awarded with the letter of the Moscow municipal duma for the contribution to preservation of the environment.
