Jessica just got a lot of publicity for her cause, and she did it without soiling herself. I understand that, and I'm sorry if Bono doesn't. I would bet she just got her charity a lot of attention, more than if she had attended the shill fest- and she did it without turning a non-partisan charity in to a partisan tool. I don't think I'm going to be alone in thinking that's more than just good intentions- although, of course, if you are religious good intentions are important. I'm not, so I care about the practical implications of her actions - which I like- but the 90 something percent of the folks in the US who ARE religious, better be concerned for their immortal souls when they consider the tug of raw power, versus the cleanliness of their intentions.
