Yes, every time long bonds tried to break down, the breakdown
was averted with significant coupon passes (purchases of LT bonds) and security lending by the Fed. So, this event needs to
be watched, but I don't have much hope they won't do it this time
around.

Iceland crisis is the scenario US crisis will unfold IMHO. For now,
it is bullish for US t-bonds, as US is perceived risk-free
(flight to safety will lower the US LT rates, and the usual
script of liquidity spilling into stocks will follow).
US markets did not even notice.
