Expansion of Collaborative Effort with Bourns, Inc.

TUSTIN, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 2006--Pacific Fuel Cell Corp. (OTCBB:PFCE - News) today announced that it has delivered production-scale prototype nanoMEAs to an undisclosed customer. The delivered prototypes were produced in conjunction with its collaborative manufacturer, Bourns. Inc., headquartered in Riverside, Calif. The Bourns team, working with the PFCE's scientific staff, successfully engineered PFCE's innovative process for making nanoMEAs to commercial scale. Based upon the success of their development efforts, Bourns and PFCE are discussing an increase in the scope and intensity of their collaborative efforts.

The Bourns team, utilizing PFCE's proprietary technology, showed its strength in engineering and process development in the production of the prototype nanoMEAs. The expertise of Bourns, Inc., developed from decades of designing and manufacturing precision electronic components, played an important role in this successful effort.
