The whole world had the same evidence, everyone thought he had the weapons, it was not worth rolling the dice to second guess a madman... those weapons may yet still very well be hidden in Iraq somewhere... you don't know for certain, and neither does anyone else... as leader of the free world, would you want to guess he was only kidding? I doubt it... don't respond too quickly, just think about the grave mistake of doing nothing as world leader... no one with any common sense would want to take that chance... it was certainly not a lie, as you call it... GZ
