I don't know a lot about the specific facts of this unfortunate saga.

Can someone explain to me what the people who claim there is never NSS say about this situation.

It seems to be uncontroverted that there are not sufficient certificates to cover long shareholders. Even if one is claiming that insiders dumping shares caused this problem, retail investors bought the shares and would be entitled, by law, to physical certificates or would have claims against their seller (MM's and brokers) for specific performance or rescission under various transfer related laws, including the UCC.

Just trying to understood that arguments here.
