That statement is absurd and outrageous for more than several reasons.

First, in the Muslim world where some women are in leadership positions, women are treated like cattle. Their husbands own them. They aren't allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia. Honor killings are rampant. So looks like those women in leadership are just a bone thrown to the international community. It hasn't translated into REAL freedoms for women in Muslim countries.

Second, men make decisions for women all the time in free countries. Conversely, women make decisions all the time for free countries. You know why? Because in free countries it's just as likely that your boss is a female as your boss is a male. I've had more women bosses than male during my entire career. Both have been equally as competent. Do I complain when my female boss makes decisions for me? No, because I'm not a testosterone nazi.

And Amy, you need to be careful not to become a feminazi. You're certainly starting to sound one. Females today don't have the chip on their shoulder that females of the previous generation do, because there's no reason for it. Females have as much power as men do in corporations nowadays.

Now the only thing left to do is to get a female as President. That will happen soon, I'm sure. Then frankly, I'm not sure what you'll complain about next. The females I hang out with have every bit as much freedom and power as the males I hang out with. So any inequality is just in the minds of an older generation. ;)
