Someone PM'ed me about partisanship on the thread again. My response:

"If I banned all relentlessly partisan posters, there would be hardly anyone left. There is not a critical mass of non-party-affiliated people to keep a lively discussion thread going. So I widened the limits to partisan posters who remain polite and do not blindly demonize the other side.

What you see daily are partisan posters who keep that idea in mind most of the time.

As for myself, like 2/3-3/4 of moderates in America, I have a strong negative opinion about Bush and his policies. That's the view of the majority of the center. However, I do not have a negative view of Republicans or conservatives, nor do I love liberals and Democrats. I am truly undecided about which party to vote for in 2008.

My posts are mostly articles and editorials that show the failings of ideology and partisanship. By definition in today's era, many of those posts will be critical of Bush. It's not my fault that his endless series of mistakes has wrecked his political credibility. That's a well-known fact now.

You are more than welcome to keep posting when you like, be it a partisan post or more neutral. As I said, the only real rules are polite behavior and no group demonization."
