I must hear it wrong -- there is "no" market munipulation in NYSE? You underlook the various creative techniques the real big players use to influence the market.
Do you really believe that it is solely the small investors that started the engine for the last ride MU had? Do you really believe that it is solely the small investors who started to push MU downhill several weeks ago?
Look at the price fluctuation today related to the hugh 600000+ shares trade. I did not see a great(1-2 points) down drift on the share price. Furthermore, I saw the shares were absorbed quite quickly. Do you still think all these brave buyers were blind and stupid small investors and speculators? Or they are the funds that flew out from MU coming back?
The big players and most of the knowledgeable small investors always know that there is price pressure on the chips. However, MU had a great track record of making money under severe circumstances. This is what made MU different from the other players in the field.
Even the earnings are not as great as people expected, I do not see that it has the tendency to go lower than 36 because currently it seems like the expectations of most people on MU is not very high.
