Mike, your daughter's Vistaril knocked you out!?..Pharmacogenomics..lol..looking to borrow some?
Vistaril has been around forever..I didn't know it was still in use..in the 80's we mixed it with demerol and now it's used for anxiety?..I didn't feel this aspect of it..Historically, sleep has been my 'drug of choice'..got a problem?.."ah, nothing a nap can't make better." Have you run into Seroquel being used in small doses for sleep? 25mg-100mg causes drowsiness whereas, 400-600mg is the label for antipsychotic properties..my mom's shrink is trying that lately..25mg zonked her out so she takes a 1/2[that's on top of clonopin, ambien<argh>..I despise the benzo's..went on micro doses of Klonopin during Jeff's illness that had to go up post his death..coming off of it sucked..the shakes, whole enchilada..doc said I did it too fast..dunno..scary stuff..
You mentioned hGH..do you mean human growth hormone?..what do you think?..good sources out there?..Most of what I see is connected in some way to folk directly wanting to profiteer..
Excercise..How 'bout sunlight in your parts?..How has that figured in your mood/sleep?..I have a real sensitivity to it..was in sun-drenched parts throughout last fall, didn't experience the halloween darkness but when I returned to SF in December to 3 weeks of solid rain, it was horrible..not knowing that it would last that long, I kept putting off getting a light-box..never again, I'd left it back east not anticipating needing it..I remember once, going to each light bulb in the house and getting my eyes as close as possible..talk about drug seeking behaviour!..Marc bought a 'dawn simulator' and used it for the first time this morning..you can set it to include the sound of birds..Stormy, our dog, went to the window barking furiously..poor thing..
Provigil is the drug that has most positively impacted my QOL in ages..love it..they're testing it for fatigue in oncology, ms, you name it..even cocaine addiction..the doc who prescribed told me it was her current drug of choice[with a twinkle in her eye!]..Can only imagine the kinds of self trials psychiatrists do these days with the plethora available..Speaking of which..are you keeping track of the geodon's, abilify's?
Ok, if I don't sign off soon, I'll miss the ferry..
Best, Elisabeth |
