Yeah.. in retrospect, I should have played GNBT. I could have gotten in when it dove to 2.75 psychological support and made a chunk of change before the close.

AVNX flat-line for most of the day and I have to admit that I was getting a bit concerned that it might violate $3/share and retrace. But there really seemed to be considerable support from the institutional buyers at that price who probably took advantage of the uncertainly to prey on the day traders and sucker in the shorts so they can screw them on Monday..

I have to admit that I trust AVNX more than I do GNBT. Drug stocks have always been like playing Vegas IMO. All it takes is a failed Phase test result and WHAM!! they will hammer the stock instantly and you'll have no chance to get out.

But AVNX is part of a obviously dynamic sector, in which it's rivals have received more attention leaving the stock tremendously undervalued compared to its peers, even at this level.

Thus, should a trade go bad on me, I can feel fairly certain that it will recover within a week or so. However, GNBT is another thing altogether and far more risky to trade.

But with increased risk, often come increased profit opportunity.

I think GNBT, unless it has a significant PR locked away for Monday or Tuesday, will continue to consolidate and prepare to permanently penetrate the $3/level. And that would be a good thing.

Right now it's violated the upper weekly Bollinger Band arm and you can see from past experience that it doesn't stay up there very long before backing and filling and preparing for the next leg up.

It's also clear that this price is currently outside of the established trend channel. Which means that I'll likely have a chance to repurchase at 2.50-2.75/share sometime in the next week or so.
