People who complain about increasing numbers of potholes in the streets may really be saying that their cars are not good enough to transport them in comfort. For many county residents that is true, but it is not that roads have more potholes, it is their cars that are subpar. Blame your car , not the Road Department.

Ah but your Joke has a ring of truth if you live in pothole city.

I lived in west florida, sinkhole capital of the USA. Potholes are a very common occurrence, the city council in many areas here are trying to raise taxes on people to fix all the recurring potholes destroying our communities. Old retirees that are good voters do not want thier property taxes going up. They want things cut in other areas to fix thier roads. Many have traded in the buick or cadillac car for an SUV or van with better suspension and more suspension travel - they get tired of spilling thier hot coffee in thier laps and have grown tired of waiting on the gubbment and road dept. to solve thier problem. The potholes continue to get worse. I know of several people moving out of certain communities to new ones simply to avoid the potholes.

Younger kids figure out the potholes after a few coffee spills and dodge them, but the old people keep forgetting and hit them over and over - reflexes maybe too slow or memory too poor.
