Yes, and thanks for your reminder, Masa, of the recent settlement of Nokia's litigation with Kyocera under which "Kyocera will pay royalties to Nokia for all Kyocera CDMA mobile phone and module products."

Once Nokia and Sanyo complete the spin of their CDMA business units by completing the formation of the Nokia-Sanyo JV (exact legal name for the new entity to be determined) distancing Nokia Corp. from any need to hold a CDMA license, I suspect we'll see Nokia vigorously pursuing CDMA licenses based on the "essential" patents they hold in CDMA even though that portfolio is nowhere near as robust as their GSM/EDGE and 3GSM (WCDMA) essential patent portfolios, and even though QUALCOMM holds the majority of "essential" patents for that proprietary (open)technology.
