You've seen the scientific postings here, and posted one of the better ones yourself, about how the tendency to choose up sides and to cheer for our team is hard-wired into humans. It's easy, anyone can do it.

To shut that natural reaction off, and to engage the brain in a reasonable manner, is difficult. The folks who post here have learned how to do that, although we still tend to advance the side to which we lean.

But the important thing is to try and see the other point of view.

I think that those who have been banned did not try.
