Clintonites proved Democrats know how to manage government. The reason the rightwing is so bad at government is because they are at the same time anti government in general, anti big government (programs which help people), for starving it of tax money and for outrageous spending, especially on their wars and corporate donors huge boondoggles/gouging/pork bqarrel. Bushies also like to deregulate everything for industry. Problem is, deregulating means removing the rules, and not policing what's left, and as we saw in the S+L debacle (300 billion that cost) and the Enron energy gouging, corporate cronies cannot be trusted. If you give them a license to steal, they will, and they can steal more, steal faster and screw the public greater than any government regulations ever could. Especially dangerous are the energy and health care sectors. Those should be regulated by the government. When they aree not, they exploit and take full advantage of our dependency on them, price-fixing and gouging as much as they can.
