Boy, you pros toss that stuff around like candy! I agonize whether I should do 3mg of melatonin or 5 on my next order from Swanson's.

People do react very differently to drugs, don't they? After my back operation the surgeon gave me a freighter load of oxycodone. If there was any effect on the discomfort, I couldn't detect it, and as for euphoria - nada. Isn't it a schedule drug, with the possibility of habituation/addiction? I have about a hundred to give away (or flush down the toilet) if anybody needs them.

I told the surgeon I was allergic to codeine (bad barfing), but he said there would be no problem with oxycodone. He was right, but I would have liked something that worked on the pain in the first few post-op days, barf or no barf.

(Maybe I should offer myself to MYGN to develop a genetic test for codeine related non-addiction?)
