I didn't claim that you have made any ad hominem attacks towards me. Why would you think that I did? I commented that your comments towards Bob O'Brien were inappropriate. My comments re prior attacks were not directed to you, but just background to show the tenor of the debate. You haven't cited the substance of your comments. You've merely attacked him and his purpose. I disagree with your characterization of Bob O'Brien and others. You have commented that there is no substance to his arguments, that it's merely conspiracy blather and that he associates with a lunatic fringe. Sounds pretty "ad hominem" to me. It's as if we were saying that every hedge fund is run by scammers, something to which you objected. This is not a debate about individuals or nuances. The "problem" is not going away and won't be minimized by trying to pigeon hole it. The issues to be discussed are naked shorting, failures to deliver, inefficienty regulation of trading, MM excesses, hedge funds that manipulate, etc. Not your opinion of Bob O'Brien, whom many of us admire for the reasons previously cited.
