Nice job of ignoring the arguments and focusing on the labels. I suppose I shouldn't have mentioned Phillips is a Republican. There was a time when there was diversity of opinions in the GOP. I used to be considered a "moderate Republican" ... so in the eyes of the extremists that makes me a left winger now! ROFLOL.

The wingers are so focused on labels ... sometimes for fun I get the extremists to flip out - I just mention to them I was once a delegate to the RNC (a true statement) - it drives them crazy!

From the summary (I haven't read the book) there is probably an element of truth to Phillips oil policy argument, but it sounds like he takes it too far. I agree with Phillips main thrust on the religious right extremists damaging America.
