Fact is there isn't a lot of "good news" coming out of Iraq.
Interestingly and comparatively, if you go to AnyCity, AnyWhere USA and observe news reporting patterns you pretty much find the same standard--horror news always dominates primetime play. Regardless of the Republican Talking Point that "good news" ain't gettin' out, Iraq is no different than any other place with respect to what news gets reported.
But let's keep with your position: What would be the "good news" you'd like to see reported? Would it be getting Iraq's oil industry back on track? Electricity up and running--and sustained? Water purification? Communications?
You might do well to examine how Saddam got services restored in the aftermath of the '91 war; compared with how Bush--what with all of the great resources and technological wonder of the United States--got such services repaired?

I know that many of you folks are good-standing Republicans and want sincerely to support your leader. But at some point, especially in the face of the continuing horror stories, you've got to face the truth: Your fearless leader blew it! Big-time!!!
OK, so no WMD were found and absolutely no link to Al Qaeda was established. Nation-building (something Bush campaigned against in his initial election campaign) then became the Bush objective and we then got told that that building a democracy in Iraq was also was a reason for invading Iraq. But with one simple conclusion it's easy to conclude that this, too, is a charade, a 'talking point.'
You see, were democracy and free elections truly part of the goal of invading Iraq, then the invading army would have gone to great pains in order to protect the public buildings housing citizenship records. Instead, those buildings got looted and many of those records were destroyed. The only government building which got protection was the Iraqi Oil Ministry Building.
