Dell asking Taiwan notebook makers to pay for 2007 orders

Dell expects discounts from its Taiwan-based notebook contract makers by asking the makers to pay 3% of revenue contributions from shipments to Dell in 2006 in order to win major contract orders from the US vendor in 2007, sources at Taiwan notebook manufacturers reported.
