Jeffrey-

I suppose things are quiet here because there does not appear to be signficant news conerning MRM. It's not exactly a company in the limelight, but those of us who are long on it are enjoying watching the chart! Your assessment of VARL leaves me a bit puzzled- you say you are considering bailing out, albeit temporarily- but then suggest now might be "an excellent opportunity and probably last chance for [me] to get in VAR". This sounds like a variant of the truism that the price of the stock might go up, or then again it might go down. Well I suppose it's also possible VARL could sit between 9-10 for the next six months!

As far as MRM is concerned, while I still like the company, given the runup in price, the stock no longer seems significantly undervalued to me. For instance, MRM's P/B is now a respectable 2.3, while VARL's is 1.9. One thing that surprises me a bit in terms of a comparison between the two companies is that WSJ places them in different industry sectors. MRM appears in the Dow Jones Communications Technology Index, while VARL is placed in the DJ Electrical Components Index. Does Vari-L provide entire subsystems to its customers, as MRM does, or does it only provide components?
